California Urology consists of three dynamic Urologists: Dr. Jules Perley, Dr. Jonathan Perley and Dr. Thomas Calvert. Our doctors are certified by the American Board of Urology. Between the three doctors, we have over 60 years of experience in Urology, and the group has been serving this area since 1972.

Our patients are our main focus. The doctors keep up – to – date on the latest surgical and pharmacological treatments. The field of Urology is constantly evolving, with treatments requiring less invasive therapy and less “down time.”

Founding Partner Emeritus: now retired
Dr. Jules Perley is double boarded in Urology and General Surgery and served in the field as a M.A.S.H. Surgeon in Vietnam. With over 40 years in the community, Dr. Jules Perley is the founder of our practice. He has been a leader at multiple hospitals and has been a highly regarded member of our medical community.

Jonathan E. Perley,

Medical Director
Dr. Jonathan Perley received his Urology training at the world-renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. With over 20 years of professional experience, Dr. Perley is well known throughout Southern California for his expertise, skill and compassion. Dr. Perley speaks nationally on multiple urologic disease states and consults on practice management.

Thomas Calvert, MD, MPH
Urology
Thomas (TJ) Calvert, MD, MPH is a Board-Certified Urologist specializing in comprehensive urological care for men, women and children. He received his medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine in Grenada, and completed his urology residency at the University of Massachusetts in Worcester, M.A. His particular expertise includes urologic cancers, enlarged prostate, and stone disease.

Aaron Ovadia, MD
Urology
Dr. Aaron Ovadia is a board-certified general urologist with more than 10 years of experience providing comprehensive urologic care. A South Bay native, he graduated from West High School, earned his degree with honors from University of California, Berkeley, received his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and completed six years of urology residency training at University of Illinois College of Medicine.
Dr. Ovadia is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and believes in partnering with patients to achieve the best possible outcomes.
